Neekon Festival

We are also thrilled that our Executive Director, Arash Shirinbab is invited to serve as the Chief Judge, Curator, and Director of Visual Arts at this festival and will be in charge of selecting and curating artworks to be exhibited at NeekOn as well as administrating the collaborative art projects and live art demonstrations and creations during the course of the festival.

The first NeekOn event will take place on September 26, 2015, at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park’s Music Concourse, and the De Young Museum’s Koret Auditorium. This year’s theme is Giving and includes artists from the Silk Road region. We invite artists and community leaders who stand for our cause to participate at this year’s event. Intended for all ages and families, we’re committed that you leave inspired.
NeekOn is a movement to inspire Giving. We are kicking off with an event to cultivate emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, and a spirit of giving within ourselves and others in the community using live music, dance, visual arts, workshops, leadership building activities and food from around the world.
