Call for Art Proposals
StartFragment
The interfaith alliance of the Faith Trio (Christians, Jews and Muslims) is excited to announce our next interfaith art exhibition, opening December 3, 2017 at the Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California in downtown Oakland in partnership with Ziya Art Center. We are seeking artists to create collaborative artwork on the themes of interfaith understanding, coexistence, peace, and cultural dialogue. Proposals are due August 20, artwork to be completed by November 10. This is our fourth Biennial Interfaith Art Exhibition. Our first was in 2011.
Please consider submitting a proposal. It is free to participate. Please spread the word to anyone … artists at all levels, with all styles, any faith (or none) are welcome.
The process of participation to the exhibition this year is different from all the past years. This year we are asking for collaborative Art Proposals first instead of individual artwork. Please read the entire conditions and process and submit your proposal accordingly.
And you are invited to participate:
Connection Through Arts Event
We are inviting all artists and the community to participate in our free upcoming “Connection Through Arts” events to meet other artists, form new collaborations, and create artworks with others through the event.
The event will be held at ICCNC at 1433 Madison St., Oakland on Sunday, August 6 at 2 – 5 p.m.
Art created at this special event can be "seed" ideas for further exploration but is not intended to be finished work for the exhibition. More information about this event will be posted on www.interfaithart.org which is also where information about our previous exhibitions can be found.
