Muslim Writers Collective’s Open Mic Events
Oct. 10, Nov. 14, and Dec. 12 at 8 p.m.
A monthly Open Mic event (on 2nd Friday of each month) to share writings, stories, and spoken word.
The Muslim Writers Collective is a bold initiative aimed at cultivating a vibrant literary tradition in Muslim American and providing a platform for young people to share their stories.
Join us for an evening of dynamic sharing aimed at celebrating art, storytelling and creativity at MWC Bay Area's Open Mic nights. Doors open at 7:45 pm, events start at 8:00 p.m. at ICCNC in Oakland. Readings of poetry, spoken word, fiction, nonfiction, literary journalism are welcome, polished or raw, published or not. We challenge you to address this month's theme.
This event is in English, free, open to the public, and take place in ICCNC’s historical and welcoming space near Oakland’s Lake Merritt at: 1433 Madison St., Oakland, CA 94612
Limited free parking is available on site; The Center is near the 12th St. BART station.
