About the instructor: Maryam Vesal is an Iranian artist working and living in San Jose. She has learned Persian Miniature and Tazheeb under masters in Iran such as Mehran Lotfali and has been practicing and creating traditional artworks for over 10 years. She has a BSC degree in Applied Mathematics from Shahid Beheshti University and a BFA in Studio Art from University of Texas at Austin. Maryam is a multi-disciplinary artist working in variety of media such as: ceramics, painting, photography, performance, and installation sculpture.

Traditional Persian Painting Workshop by Maryam Vesal

The Traditional Persian Painting Workshop is conducted by Maryam Vesal, an expert artist in Persian painting, miniature, and the illumination (Tazheeb). In this hands-on workshop, Maryam will teach the basics of Persian painting and arabesque and floral designs and participants will have an opportunity to create artworks with the material provided.

Workshop fee is $45 regular and $35 students and youths.

Workshop is conducted for adults and all materials are provided.

Space is limited and registration is needed for participating in this workshop before November 20.
