OVERVIEW AND BACKGROUND

 

Ziya Art Center, a San Francisco Bay Area-California based organization is honored to present its open Call to Artists for its new exhibition. “Ziya” means light and our programs, exhibitions, and services are focusing on enlightening the audience about the light and joy embedded in arts of various cultures. Our goal is to foster cultural and ethnic awareness, encourage the dialogue between the arts of various cultures, and educating people about original arts. Our primary area of focus is the arts of different cultures from South Asia to Middle East and North Africa (SAMENA) region and its diaspora; But we are always open to the arts of all cultures and artists around the world.

EXHIBITION DETAILS

 

Artists with any medium including but not limited to painting, drawing, calligraphy, photography, sculpture, ceramics, glass, textile, book art, digital art, video art, new media, and mixed media may submit works. All artwork must be the original creation of the artist submitting the artwork. Artists at any level and with any style and from any culture from around the world are encouraged to submit artwork.

 

This is an online exhibition and the artists do NOT need to ship the original physical work to us. The selected artworks will be exhibited on our online gallery at www.ziyaart.com for 3 months, being represented to thousands of viewers every month from curators and artists to art lovers, collectors, interior designers, and other potential buyers.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

STEP 1: Upload the images of the artworks they want to participate.

STEP 2: Pay submission fee is $20 for 1 work, $30 for 3 works, $35 for 6 works. NOTE: We want to support any artist anywhere in the world so if you are in a country in which you cannot make the payment of submission fee due to international reasons, we waive the fee for you and you can participate for free. Failure to make the payment of submission fee for any other reason will unfortunately cancel your participation.

PRESENTATION, SALES, AND PROMOTION

 

Ziya Art Center will actively promote the submitted and selected artworks in the course of the exhibition and beyond through various methods including but not limited to representing the image of the artworks and the artists through email lists, social media, multiple websites, apps, and exhibition books to insure several thousands of audiences will view the works and get to know the artists and their work globally.

 

Artists will receive an official digital Certificate of Participation via email. The book of the exhibition will be published and will be available in print and digital formats and will be distributed through several distribution channels such as Amazon and Lulu.

 

Ziya Art Center is committed to provide artists with exposure and extensive marketing of their art and accomplishment through our national and international list of curators, collectors, potential buyers, interior designers, and art lovers. We employ multiple approaches in this regard including digital invitation and newsletter, extensive press release, event listing and calendars, social media marketing, and representations through our partner galleries and organizations.  

 

Artists that submit their work and participate in our exhibition will be added to our database for our curators who are actively looking for potential artists to showcase or represent their work in physical exhibition through San Francisco Bay Area.

 

Artists are encouraged to have their work for sale and we extensively promote the works to be acquired. Price is determined by the artist. Please price your work based on your traction, expertise, material cost, and past artwork sales. We will retain 30% commission on all sales during the time that the artwork is represented on our online gallery. Artists are responsible for the packaging, shipment, and insurance of their artwork to the buyers. So, please estimate all the costs associated and then determine the price of your artwork. The price cannot be changed after submitting the Submission Form.
